Special Music  VINCENT Billy Miller ART For Life More About Billy . Made with Xara              Captain Billy This artwork was created by Billy at about the same time as his sheriff artwork. From childhood, Billy was enamoured with medals and uniforms.          Landscape by Billy It was rare for Billy to do a landscape, making this one special. If his motif wasn't people or fantasy projections of himself, it would often be boats, trucks, tanks or planes and in reality, these were projections of himself as well.  Billy lived inside his fantasies. In his fantasy world, he was in control and in charge; he was the truck driver, the airplane pilot, the sheriff, and he was always the captain of his own ship. Sheriff Billy Billy was always seeing himself as a sheriff or a policeman. This picture was a first place winner at the St. Lucie County Fair 2 years ago A tribute to Billy While visiting with Billy last spring, Billy shared with me a pencil drawing he did of his mother in heaven with the angels. I will never forget that drawing. Billy was a very troubled child, but like Vincent Van Gogh, he loved art and by creating art, he was able to sometimes calm his inner turmoil. We must always listen when children talk and share thoughts about their art, the question to us becomes, "will we hear"? .....Sometimes children's art speaks without words. The question is then, "will our eyes see"?
